Boxer Quintas da Silva Jose Barreto was the first to put an end to the long wait for a medal. He won the bronze medal in the men’s flyweight semifinal at the PICC Forum on Sunday.
Da Silva may have lost 1-4 to Thailand’s Ammarit Yaodam in the men’s flyweight 52kg category, but his appearance in the semifinals earns him a third-place finish.
