Ever had that cold sweat moment of panic when you realize you left something important? I’m sure this guy did! A Taiwanese man was saddened to realize he’d left his Nintendo Switch at an ATM. Thankfully, a kind soul turned it over to the police who decided to try and find anything that would link to its owner–maybe personal information, etc. Instead, they opened his Animal Crossing: New Horizons game and, using the mail feature in-game, contacted his real life friends for information and how to get in contact with him. His friends told him about it and they were able to get in touch!
“Hello. This is the police station at East Helping Rd, Daan branch, Taipei City. The Switch has been parted from its owner and was turned in. We do not have other means to contact the owner, so please help us and reach out on our behalf so they can recover it,” they said.
Thankfully everything was resolved! Those islands aren’t easy to maintain, after all!
