Ling Nam first opened its doors in the 1950s, serving beef wanton noodles and siopao to Filipinos after the Second World War. Tomas Fung, the founder of Ling Nam, wanted to share his love for Chinese food with the Filipinos, so he opened up one of the pioneer noodle shops in the city.

Many of Ling Nam’s regular customers have grown up with the homegrown restaurant in the past decades, with their love for Chinese food passing on for generations. From serving just two dishes from their kitchen, Ling Nam’s menu has since expanded to siomai, congee, and a wide variety of noodle soups.

It’s really not a surprise how far they’ve come since they always put a lot of heart and soul into the food that they serve. They even prepare their famous congee as early as 3 AM for it to be ready to be served for breakfast at 6 AM!

Their original beef wanton noodles are overloaded with savory beef, high-quality noodles, and delicious beef broth. Avid fans of Ling Nam just can’t get enough of this hot and tasty dish, especially since it still tastes the same as its original recipe from the 1950s. Plus, it’s known to be a must-visit food spot that’s reminiscent of Hong Kong noodle shops.
