When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the Philippines, Gameville Sportswear wanted to be part of the solution. As a clothing company, they may not have the cure for the disease, but they believe they can do their part given the resources they have.

With this, the sportswear company thought of a way to utilize their specialties and give back. As such, they took a bold move and asked their staff who were willing to come to work voluntarily and produce washable face masks and PPE suits. The employees are paid their usual wages for making PPEs.
After over 300-350 employees volunteered, they were able to produce 20,000 masks and 2,000 PPEs in less than two weeks. These were then donated to hospitals in Metro Manila and provinces.
Sadly, they have run out of resources and funds to manufacture PPEs. But Gameville Sportswear didn’t want to stop there. They recently opened their company for orders to produce PPEs at cost only paying for labor and materials at 550php a suit (that only pays for labor and materials).

According to their sewers, delivering to our front liners has been the most fulfilling mission in their lives. With this project, Gameville Sportswear is able to provide a livelihood to many of their employees despite this crisis and help the community by donating the suits.
