If there’s one place in Pasay where cravings meet halfway, it’s Seascape Village. Nestled by the bay, this foodie spot is home to restaurants serving fresh seafood and other Asian dishes.

It’s perfect for family days when everyone wants something different, but it also works great for barkada hangouts or even a solo food trip if you want to treat yourself. For us, it turned into a full-blown food crawl—and we loved every stop.
First stop: Mazu Seafood Diner
My husband was craving seafood, so our crawl began at Mazu Seafood Diner. What makes them stand out is that they source their seafood directly from Seascape Village’s fresh fish market. Crabs, lobsters, shrimp—you name it, they’ve got it.
We kept it simple but satisfying. The sweet and sour fish struck the perfect balance of tangy and sweet—fresh and kid-approved. My husband and I tried the Szechuan squid, which had just the right kick of spice. Some bites were chewy, others tender, but overall, it was delicious.

We also shared crab meat rice, and my husband enjoyed fresh buko juice served in an actual coconut.
The restaurant itself felt like a traditional Chinese dining spot, complete with a nice seaside view. If you’re craving fresh seafood in Pasay, Mazu Seafood Diner at Seascape Village won’t disappoint.
Second stop: Yatai Asian Cuisine
Of course, no family day out is complete without giving in to the kids’ cravings. “Mommy, I want sushi,” they said—so off we went to Yatai Asian Cuisine, located on the second floor of the village.
Since we arrived after the lunch rush, we got our orders quickly: ebi tempura, volcano sushi, chashu ramen, and pork katsudon.
Naturally, the kids couldn’t resist their tempura favorites—classics never fail. The volcano sushi, topped with fried salmon and unagi bits, was so good I wished I had ordered extra to take home.

The chashu ramen had firm noodles, a creamy broth, and slices of tender pork that made it extra satisfying, Meanwhile, the katsudon came with two complimentary pieces of gyoza, which were packed with meat and flavor.
What’s great is that Yatai doesn’t just serve Japanese food; they also offer paluto-style dishes from the market, plus other Asian specialties. Definitely a good stop if you want variety.
Last stop: The Country Chef
To cap off the day, we craved something closer to home—Filipino comfort food. That’s how we found ourselves at The Country Chef. The ambiance leaned a bit towards fine dining, but with prices that are family-friendly (especially for five hungry bellies).
We ordered a feast: chicharon bulaklak, sinigang na hipon, pork sisig, garlic chicken wings, and iced tea to share.
The sisig was spicy and satisfying—though I wouldn’t have minded a bit more crunch, but the star for me was the garlic chicken wings, served with a roasted head of garlic that infused flavor deep into the meat, not just the skin.

Meanwhile, the chicharon bulaklak had just the right amount of saltiness, while the sinigang na hipon tasted fresh, with seafood also sourced from the market. Of course, we paired everything with white rice.
Out of all our stops, this was my personal favorite. The hearty dishes made it the perfect way to end our food crawl.
