‘The World of the Married’ overtakes ‘Itaewon Class’ as JTBC’s 2nd highest-rated drama

Korean drama The World of the Married recently achieved the second-highest viewership ratings in JTBC drama history. Only 6 episodes into its run and it’s already overtaken the widely popular Itaewon Class.

It first broke records with its premiere last month with the highest ratings achieved by the first episode of any JTBC drama. Then, on April 11 its 6th episode scored average ratings of 18.8% nationwide and 21.4% in the Seoul metropolitan area.

Itaewon Class previously held the record as 2nd highest-rated drama on JTBC with the finale’s average ratings of 16.5% nationwide and 18.3% in the Seoul metropolitan area.

SKY Castle continues to hold the record as JTBC’s highest-rated drama – and any Korean cable network for that matter – with a nationwide rating average of 23.78% during its finale.
