The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) has just released his latest album titled My Dear Melancholy, and yes the title really has that comma.
On Wednesday, Tesfaye posted a screenshot of his text conversation with his creative director, La Mar Taylor, on Instagram. The text read: “Should we drop Friday? I’m indifferent to be honest,” hinting a possible album release.
Came Friday and the musician did drop the official cover art along with the title of the album on Instagram. Check it out below.
Then came a short clip of him singing a song from his album, which he also posted on the same social media platform. You can watch it below.
My Dear Melancholy, is The Weeknd’s fourth studio album after his 2016 hit Starboy.
Earlier this year, The Weeknd collaborated with Kendrick Lamar for the Black Panther soundtrack “Pray For Me.” Next month, he is expected to headline the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
