Anime fans, get ready—our favorite chainsaw-headed devil hunter is making his big-screen debut in the Philippines. Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is officially hitting local cinemas on September 24, 2025, and the latest trailer just dropped some juicy hints at what’s to come.

Based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s hit manga, Chainsaw Man has built a massive following worldwide thanks to its unique mix of dark humor, bloody fight scenes, and surprisingly heartfelt storytelling. The anime adaptation by MAPPA only boosted its popularity, making Denji, a down-on-his-luck teenager turned chainsaw-wielding devil hunter, one of today’s most iconic anime characters.
In case you’re new to the series: Denji was left drowning in debt after his father’s death and was forced to work as a devil hunter for the yakuza. After a betrayal that cost him his life, his pet dog Pochita—who happens to be the Chainsaw Devil—fused with him, reviving Denji with the ability to turn parts of his body into chainsaws. Now, he slices his way through demons as part of a government squad.

The upcoming movie will adapt the Reze Arc, picking up where the anime left off. The trailer introduces Reze, a mysterious girl whom Denji encounters while taking shelter in a café. The teaser hints at sparks flying between the two, giving fans a glimpse of a softer, more vulnerable side of Denji. But longtime readers know that with Chainsaw Man, nothing is ever as simple as it seems, especially when Reze is involved.
So, is this finally Denji’s chance at romance, or just another setup for heartbreak (and chaos)? One thing’s for sure: expect the same wild mix of action, gore, and gut-punch emotions that made the series a modern classic.
