The live-action Star Wars series ‘The Mandalorian’ has been trending ever since it debuted on Disney’s streaming service, Disney Plus, on November 12. And now, the series has beat the previous streaming champion, ‘Stranger Things’, as the most in-demand original streaming shows in the US.
‘Stranger Things’ had previously enjoyed 21 straight weeks at the top of Parrot Analytics’ weekly list, which measures demand expressions – the desire, engagement, and viewership of a series.
During the week of November 17 to November 23, ‘The Mandalorian’ brought in more than 100 million demand expressions against ‘Stranger Things’ 81 million. As of writing, ‘The Mandalorian’ also has a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Disney has also shared that 10 million people had signed up for Disney Plus on the day of its launch. Have you seen the show yet?
