Before the event, I made sure that I wouldn’t read ANYTHING about the LG Optimus G Pro to start with zer0-knowledge  and just let the launch raise that number. Upon getting hands on the unfamiliar LG phone, I asked the lady about the basic things first such as the camera’s megapixels, processor’s brand and core, display and battery performance. So, here are the details:

-a large 5.5″ Full HD IPS display with 1080p resolution, 400 ppi
-a nice 13MP Full HD rear camera and 2.1 MP front camera
-a powerhouse 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor
-equipped with a high-capacity 3,140mAH battery
-WiFi and Bluetooth
-2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage
-can store up to 32GB via microSD
-of course, its award-winning LTE
-GPS with aGPS support
-150.2 x 76. 1 x 9.4 m dimensions

Next, she introduced me to two of the innovative features of the LG Optimus G Pro: the Dual Camera and Dual Recording feature plus the Pause and Resume Recording. First, the Dual Camera and Dual Recording allows you  to take simultaneous photos and videos with the front and rear cameras. As you can see in the image below, I can record myself via front camera (in the smaller screen) while I simultaneously record what is seen through the rear camera (larger screen). This could be done vice-versa as well.

The LG Optimus G Pro showing that it can let you watch videos, browse the web, make a note, all at once. It can let you open up to 3 apps simultaneously and change their screens’ transparency as well.

This next one really got my attention; it’s the LG Optimus G Pro’s QRemote feature. It lets you use the phone as a tool to change your aircon’s temperature, flip TV channels, or change the volume of your DVD player. It can support up to nine home electronics/appliances. Awesome right?! (Yeahhhh) It really seems to be a promising developed feature that can possibly start a trend across all smartphones and decrease the use of traditional remote controls.

The next image below recounts the part where they introduced an extra-added feature to the usual Panoramic feature. LG calls it the VR Panorama, which “merges horizontal or vertical shots together to create an entire 360-degree Full HD landscape”.  This technology is familiar with Nexus’s, but LG honed it even more to come up with the VR Panorama.

Kiefer Ravena, Maxene Magalona, and Paulo Avelino

As a marketing student, I believe that these three personalities above are great ambassadors of the LG Optimus G Pro as they represent the three aspects where the phone really excels in. Kiefer Ravena, with his fast-paced lifestyle as a student-athlete, represents Optimus G Pro’s speedy internal performance with the help of its powerhorse Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor. The LG Optimus G Pro can ease your everyday “stress” whether as a student, student-athlete or a professional, especially with the promise of its processor. Maxene Magalona, a social media royalty, embodies the new social functions that the Optimus G Pro brings. Open Facebook, Twitter and Instagram all at once, take videos that includes you, take high-quality photos with the 13-MP rear camera and clearer selfies with its 2-MP rear cam-these you can do with LG’s flagship phone. Lastly, Paulo Avelino represents that sophistication that the Optimus G Pro has with its sleek design compact with all this capabilities.

LG has a promo right now(up to August 31) where the LG Optimus G Pro sells at P27,990 with a free Premium Quick Cover..
