The Casual-Diner’s Guide to Le Jardin Manila’s Beautiful Brunch Menu

2. Exquisite French cuisines

To be honest, I have no idea what a French dish should taste like. I was even afraid of tasting one because it may come up short with salt (there must be a reason why French people are slim, right?).

Le Jardin Tody Dino (14)Truffle Mushroom Burger P380. A char grilled premium beef cheek with garlic aioli, truffle mushroom on brioche bun together with crispy string potatoes. Not mush of a burger person, but I did enjoy this!

Le Jardin Tody Dino (6)A favorite among our bunch. The Saumon Royale, P420. Smoked salmon with scrambled and poached, arugula, red radish, hollandaise sauce on brioche bread.

Le Jardin Tody Dino (15)Herbed Chicken with Black Truffle Cream, P490.

But Le Jardin proved me wrong. The dishes weren’t bland. They were, in fact, tasty and flavorful. I may not have another resto’s dish to compare with, but the next time I’ll try French cuisine elsewhere, I know now that it should at least be at par with this. Le Jardin had set the bar so high.

Le Jardin Tody Dino (12)A certified bestseller. The Forest Truffle Chicken P600, braised in red wine with mashed potatoes, beans, cherry tomatoes, and truffles.

Le Jardin Tody Dino (28)Kale & Quinoa Salad P450. Best for vegetarians.

Le Jardin Tody Dino (17)Le Jardin Signature Breakfast P890. Eggs benedict with hollaindaise, smoked salmon & chicken, boudin, duck fat fried potatoes and quinoa salad. Also served with juice, coffee, and tea of your choice plus 2 macarons.

1. No dress code.

Since they want to set a relaxed environment, Le Jardin does not impose dress codes. Everyone is welcome to dine in! Anyone can get to try their astonishing dishes without having you wear uncomfortable formal clothes!

My advice? Don’t be too casual, though. Doll up a bit. You’ll need it as I assure you, you’d want to snap a thousand selfies while dining in this place.

The experience in Le Jardin Manila was great. Tasting some French food plus the jolly culinary stories of Chef Jonas made us at ease. And, if there’s one thing I learned about this all, it is what Chef Jonas had said: “If an animal will die just to give you food, it must be the best food there is.” Makes perfect sense.

Enchanté. If this isn’t right, then just pardon my French. Bon appétit.

Le Jardin Manila’s All-Day Brunch menu is being served from 7:30 am to 5pm on Tuesdays through Saturdays and till 3PM on Sundays. Also, catch Chef Jonas’ TV show titled Chef Next Door on Lifestyle Network every Monday at 10 pm.
