The 2014 Pioneer Digital DJ Battle Finals
‘Twas such a challenging decision for our esteemed roster of judges, they only get to pick five entries that exuded the most talent and ingenuity amongst the numerous entries we received. It was this lucky lot of the most promising five who fired up the Raven Boutique Club last August 20, 2014 for this year’s leg of the Philippine Digital DJ Battle.
Pioneer Digital DJs – DJ CHEN a.k.a Chen Chuang (His DJing career started last year, after taking a DJ course at Beat Project Manila under DJ Aryan), DJ MIAOW a.k.a Mia Ayesa (She is a professional model/DJ. She believe that it is really fun to make crowd happy. Broadway is the type of music she preferred to mix), DJ MECHA a.k.a Mikhail Arce-Ignacio, DJ JAL EMATA a.k.a John Sedano, DJ AL a.k.a Al Domingo (Mentor under Beat Project Manila).
Given 20 minutes each to showcase their creativity, DJing skills, stage presence and overall audience impact, the DJ who comes out on top gets to represent the Philippines in the Asian Championship of the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle and puts him on our flourishing list of budding DJs to watch out for!
THE JUDGES
Each a veteran in the DJ realm, they make up the roster of judges for this year’s battle.
DJ TRAVIS (residence DJ of URBN & RAVEN), DJ ACE RAMOS (Top 1 DJ in the metro, residence DJ of Republiq), DJ FUNK AVY (residence DJ of Imperial, 2006 Finalist Pioneer DJ Digital Battle Asia Championship), DJ MARK NICOSIA (Head DJ Instructor of Bounce Electronic Music, 2008 Finalist Pioneer DJ Digital Battle Asia Championship) and DJ KATSY LEE (2012 4th placer Pioneer Digital DJ Battle Asia Championship, Thailand).
The title of this year’s Pioneer Digital DJ Battle Champion was bestowed upon the DJ who gave it his all –
