A Brazilian Swiftie turned a “fanboy moment” into a “life-saving” mission when he caught Taylor Swift’s broken heel during her “Eras Tour.”
Here’s the backstory: Taylor’s right Louboutin boot heel broke during one of her performances. Before continuing her set, she removed the damaged heel and tossed it into the crowd.
A lucky fan, Felipe Conrado, managed to grab the broken heel and proudly shared his once-in-a-lifetime experience on Instagram.

“Kids win hats at the Eras Tour. Grown-ups win… a high heel,” Felipe wrote. “Thank you @taylorswift for this… gift?”
Felipe’s memorable moment was thankfully captured by a Swiftie fan account, which shared the rare moment online. The video quickly went viral, amassing over 100 million views.
This became a “turning point” for the 33-year-old fan, inspiring him to use the opportunity to help his family. Felipe decided to sell the heel to raise funds for his cousin Ângela’s melanoma treatment.
“I thought, how can I help my cousin?” Felipe said in an exclusive interview with USA Today. “The family had been working to raise money for her treatment for weeks, and I thought this could shed some light on it.”
The decision sparked mixed reactions among Swifties. While many fans rallied to support his noble cause, others encouraged him to keep the heel as a cherished keepsake.
Eventually, the story reached Christian Louboutin, the shoe’s designer. Moved by his story, the renowned designer sent him a handwritten letter and generously offered to help with Ângela’s treatment.
“It was a beautiful and emotional ending to the story. My cousin was thrilled with the incredible support from the fans and is deeply grateful for Christian’s generosity,” Felipe shared.
Indeed, miracles happen to those who have kind hearts. Felipe’s cousin has completed her treatment after 12 rounds of chemotherapy over a year. At the same time, he was able to keep the singer’s broken heel and add it to his ever-growing Taylor Swift collection.
Taylor Swift’s highly successful “The Eras Tour” concluded in Vancouver, British Colombia on December 8, 2024.
History has been written with her massive world tour, cementing her legacy as one of the most influential artists of all time. The 21-month tour has made a record-breaking $2 billion in ticket sales, which boosted local and foreign economy as she performed in over 50 cities across five continents. Additionally, the world tour also redefined the singer-songwriter’s decade-long career, with her songs categorized into different “eras” of her life.
“Making friends and bringing joy to each other, that is I think the lasting legacy of this tour, is the fact that you have created such a space of joy and togetherness and love,” Taylor said during her last show. “And you supporting me for as long as you have is why I get to take these lovely walks down memory every single night because you cared about every era of my entire life that I’ve been making music, so thank you.”
