When In Manila, experience the annual celebration of Tanduay Rhum with the most celebrated bands in Manila and be sure to bring your rock face on.
This year is the 5th year of Tanduay Rhum’s Rockfest. Didn’t wanna miss it! So I went to MOA concert grounds with some of my buddies to see how this year’s rock-a-thon will unfold.
Amusing how MOA was packed with young people who were dressed to mosh! I even saw cute kids, about 7 yrs old, wearing a mohawk. Definitely just accompanying someone since minors aren’t allowed in. & they were super strict with that! Let me just add that this has been the most organized rock fest I have ever been to. Very impressive!
On my way to go meet Kamikazee! They were having autograph signing. I loved those guys, they’re always so kwela, down to earth, not to mention talented!
They were promoting their new album, Romantico. Which is their 4th studio album.
The show started as early as 3pm. Moonstar 88 performed first and gave the early birds a taste of what has yet to come! Other performers were Parokya ni Edgar, Urbandub, Chicosci, Updharmadown, Hilera, Typecast, Franco, Wolfgang, Razorback and so much more!
Sandwich, the band rocked it. Performed songs like Sugod, Pera pera and alot more. Raymond Marasigan, their vocalist even went down the crowd to jam with them.
We had a bit of a trend in the line up, former front man of bands rocked the night with their own songs and twist to their rock classics as well. Ebe Dancel from Sugarfree, Rico Blanco of Rivermaya and Ney Dimaculangan (photo below) of 6 cyclemind.
When In Manila, hold up your glasses for Tanduay for a successful event full of music and good vibes! See you guys next year!
