Bold, eccentric, fashion-forward, avant-garde. These are the words often used to describe Jaden Smith’s fashion sense. The Karate Kid star always finds himself in the spotlight in the fashion world. His OOTDs may get mixed reactions but one thing is for sure–he is creative as hell when it comes to putting together an outfit. Here are 9 of his wild fashion moments.
9. When he wore denim-on-denim
Even as a kid, Jaden proved to be creative when it comes to his outfits. He was seen wearing a brown denim-on-denim look in the world premiere of Final Flight of the Osiris.
8. When he wore that badass jacket
It’s not every day that you see a kid wearing a spiked varsity jacket like this. Just be careful not to hug him or you might get stabbed!
7. When he put a creative twist to formal wear
Who says you have to look exactly like 90% of the other guys when wearing a tux? Not for Jaden. He definitely stood out by wearing a hyped bright red bag as an accessory. The slim necklace is like the icing on top.
6. When he flexed his overalls
Jaden blended his outfit’s colors well when he wore a yellow sweater underneath light blue overalls. He also wore baby pink socks and a striped headwear to make his ‘fit more colorful.
5.When he didn’t shy away from dresses
Jaden is not the type to shy away from dresses and skirts. He is known for his androgynous style of clothing and was even featured wearing a skirt in a luxury fashion brand’s women’s campaign. A few years ago, he was seen wearing an oversized denim jacket over a green dress. He then wore a complementing red pair of jeans under it.
4. When he matched his car to his outfit
It’s normal to match your pieces of clothing. No one will bat an eye when you wear a shirt that matches your socks but our boy here took it a step further by matching his outfit with his car! He was spotted wearing a bright pink hoodie that seems to be an unreleased piece from his very own clothing line. The outfit itself may seem normal but what makes it cool is that the actor-turned-artist had his beloved car foiled in the same bright pink. We gotta say, that’s one hell of a flex!
Jaden isn’t the first one to do it, though. Kanye and the Kardashian-Jenners are also known to match their outfits with their cars.
3. When he carried THAT as an accessory
At first look, Jaden’s outfit during the 2017 Met Gala seems to be nothing out of the ordinary. He was wearing an all-black ‘fit with thick necklaces. But take a closer look and you’ll notice that he’s carrying a lock of hair. That’s his dreadlocks! A month before the event, his dad cut off his dreadlocks in preparation for his new movie but apparently, he saved it and decided to bring it as an accessory to the ball.
2. And another unusual accessory
Jaden continued to surprise people with his outfits during the 2018 Met Gala which the theme then was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. The artist wore a neutral-colored trench coat, white jeans, the trendy dad shoes, and his gold certification plaque for his hit song Icon. He was seen carrying the plaque wherever he went.
1. His wildest accessory yet
The Icon singer is known for using wild and unusual things as accessories like the two previous items on this list but this one takes the cake. During the premiere of Skate Kitchen, the artist was seen carrying around an iguana on his shoulder. The iguana was held on a leash. He surely loves surprising people with his unique choice of accessories.
Apart from the iguana, the whole ensemble of the rapper is catchy. He was wearing a muted pink hoodie, black jeans, the trendy dad sneakers, and a loud checkerboard fanny pack.
