What is the Taiwan Lantern Festival?
The Taiwan Lantern Festival has been held in different cities across Taiwan since 2001 and the return to Taipei after 23 years, where it all started, is being anticipated by both locals and tourists.
This festival is very important for the Taiwanese people as it symbolizes blessings, peace, hope, and new beginnings that have been celebrated for many years. It is held on the 15th day of the first month in the lunar calendar and marks the end of Chinese New Year celebrations across Taiwan.
