As mentioned earlier, I enjoyed my Circle Hostel Zambales experience, but my trip to La Union was very different as it was more festive with Ukulele Manila around. There are other reasons why I my stay at The Circle La Union was enjoyable, too, though:
1. The Circle Caravan and New Friends
Raf, the co-owner of The Circle Hostel, provided a van for some of the people who were coming from Manila. Some of these people travelled alone and others were with friends. I went alone. So, after that weekend at The Circle La Union, I instantly won new friends.
The Circle Caravan on our way home! I even hung out with some of these people after that La Union trip! Sometimes, it is really nice to travel alone!
I also met Luke Landrigan again, an award-winning surfer! Yay!
2. The Hostel
Nothing beats the indie, cozy and friendly vibe at The Circle. I also love the artistic vandals all over the place. A really good place to be yourself! Best place to win new friends! Spending the night on a hammock is surprisingly comfortable, too – something that I wasn’t able to try in Zambales.

It is more fun to sleep in a hammock! I spent the night here and it’s surprisingly super comfy!
3. Food
I was able to try out some of the best spots to eat in La Union, all of which were just a few minutes away from the hostel.
Hal0-halo is the best at Halo-halo de Iloco| I love the bagnet at Robia & Arby Lechon and Canteen
El Union’s coffee is a very good quencher after a day of surfing
