On April 14, Lionsgate unveiled the two-minute trailer for the much-awaited film adaptation, showcasing a vibrant yet deadly arena. The preview also gave fans a glimpse of the cast, with Joseph Zada headlining the movie as Haymitch Abernathy.
In less than 24 hours since its release, the trailer has already garnered over two million views.
Following its release, fans online praised the film’s casting. Aside from Joseph’s portrayal of Haymitch, many are eager to see Elle Fanning take on the role of Effie Trinket. Viewers are also anticipating how Ralph Fiennes will step into the iconic role of the antagonistic President Snow, which was previously portrayed by the late Donald Sutherland in the original Hunger Games films and by Tom Blyth in the prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
