When In Manila, have Fun this Summer with 9 Works Theatrical’s ‘STAGE CAMP’
This coming summer, 9 Works Theatrical, one of the country’s leading theater companies and makers of RENT, Songs For a New World, The Wedding Singer, and RENT 2011, in cooperation with The Rockwell Club, launches Stage Camp, an intensive summer theater workshop where anyone from kids, teens, and adults can learn how to sing, dance, and act.
Running for a total of six weeks at The Loft @ Manansala Tower, Rockwell Center, Makati with a break during Holy Week, Stage Camp is the perfect avenue for anyone to unleash his or her rock star potential in performing, make new friends, and have insanely good fun in the process.
Classes will begin on April 11, with each class having a culminating showcase at the end of a six-week workshop and rehearsal period on either May 28 or 29. Kiddie Camp will be conducted from 10am-12nn M-W-F for the first two weeks, and 10am-1pm for the last four weeks. Teens’ Camp will be held from M-F, 1pm-4pm while Adults’ Camp will be from M-F, 630pm-930pm.
The showcase will be held at the prestigious Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati where most renowned theater shows have been staged.
Adults’ Camp will be spearheaded by 9 Works Theatrical’s Artistic Director Robbie Guevara who is the directorial force behind RENT, Songs for A New World, and The Wedding Singer while Teens’ Camp and Kiddie Camp will be taught by veteran stage actor Topper Fabregas (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Sound of Music, Disney’s Aladdin Jr., ) and theater actor and musical director Onyl Torres (Joy Luck Club, I Love You Because, A Christmas Carol), respectively.
