The traffic in Manila is beyond unacceptable. I really do not know the reason behind it but it has to be rectified the soonest possible time.

Interestingly, the government mentioned that in the next 100 days, the traffic will ease up. How? I am not sure. But, what’s concrete is what President Duterte mentioned in his first State Of the Nation Address or SONA:
‘Out-of-line apprehension, including the removal of terminals will be intensified. My God, it will be done. Immediately.’
Duterte is determined to strengthen the campaign against the colorum vehicles to possibly ease up the horrendous traffic in Metro Manila.
In verbatim, he said:Our anti-colorum campaign and out-of-line apprehension, including the removal of terminals, will be intensified. My God, it will be done. Immediately.

Additionally, Duterte and his proposed solutions to traffic in Manila include the revival of the Pasig river ferry as an alternative mode of transportation and existing roads should be maximized.
What does ‘colorum” vehicle mean?
Colorum vehicles are private vehicles that operate as PUVs (public utility vehicles) with no registered franchise from the LTFRB. Furthermore, these are also PUVs that have a permit to operate but operate outside their route.
Personally, anything that would make commuters and motorists’ experience more bearable, please do. People take risks just to get home earlier and so they could rest.
