French wine appreciation classes at Spiral’s La Veranda, 23rd to the 26th of September, 3:00 to 5:30 PM 

Discover the pleasure of drinking good wine. Put together your own exclusive group and enjoy intimate wine and cheese pairing sessions at La Veranda with tutored wine tasting to be conducted by French sommelier, Sofitel Philippine Plaza’s Food and Beverage Director Damien Marchenay and Bernard Flour, Managing Director of Le Cellier.

 

Wine appreciation classes slated in September are as follows:

23^rd – Red and white wines of Bordeaux

24^th – Wines from the old world and new world

25^th – Premium champagnes such as Dom Pérignon and Krug

26^th – Burgundy wines

Wine and Cheese Deli at Le Bar, 23rd to the 29th of September, 4:00 to 10:00 PM

What better way to experience French culture in Manila than to immerse in an interactive wine and cheese pairing experience at Sofitel.

 From September 23 to 29, a wine and cheese delicatessen in a luxury setting will unveil at Le Bar featuring artisan cheeses from Spiral’s L’Epicerie and a selection of over 15 wines from Bordeaux, Provence, Côtes du Rhône and Loire Valley, France’s best wine producing regions. Canapés and charcuterie are sure to complete the unique degustation experience.

Rate is set at Php 1,500 nett per person inclusive of cheese buffet and wine, free-flowing for two hours.

Wine and cheese to go are available at the deli counter. Wines are sold by the bottle, with prices ranging from Php 380 to Php 1,000 nett. Delivery is available for an additional fee.

In celebration of the French Wine Week, Le Spa at Sofitel combines the wonders of wine and traditional massage treatments and introduces “vinotherapy” to Filipino wine lovers and beauty enthusiasts.

 

Starting September 23, indulge in a luxurious massage treatment and discover beauty from the vineyards with grape-based products from Les Sources de Caudalie, winner of the prestigious Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Spa Awards 2012. Complement the experience with a glass of a perfectly paired Château Smith Haut-Lafitte, one of the best wines from Bordeaux, France. 

Wine Lovers Treatment is set at Php 30,000 for two persons, inclusive of a bottle of Château Smith Haut-Lafitte wine or Php 20,000 for two glasses per couple.

The most luxurious celebration of wine and gastronomy happening only on September 29, the Bordeaux-Saints Sunday Brunch tops up the metro’s ultimate dining experience with a selection of premium French wines from the prestigious vineyards of Saint-Emilion and Saint-Estèphe, and highlights private tasting (3cl) of the legendary Château Léoville Poyferré, one of the most flamboyant vintage wines famed for richness, opulence and aromatic pleasures.
