When in Manila, every sensible city slicker knows that the annual Sinulog Festival is not one to pass up on! This year’s festival was exactly the massive celebration everyone expected it to be, ringing in throngs of locals and foreigners and turning every alley or corner of Cebu City into a raging party scene. From day one of the Sinulog 2014 festivities to its culminating parades and parties, every event proved to be the colorful and lively spectacle it promised to be. Each day of the week-long celebration began with smiles and good vibes (punctuated by lots of lechon throughout) and was always concluded with lots of music, dancing, and booze! I’m sure the 2014 Sinulog festival exceeded every participant’s expectations and left an impressionable experience on the spectators who have taken part in it. Here are some highlights of the celebration!

 

Kicking off the festivities with Cable Car Cebu’s Ladies’ Night and Sinulog Blast-Off  events last January 16, 2014 featuring DJ Victor Jao with live performances by Sha Supangan and Mina Kim. And as the day unraveled, so did the parties! This is at the #WeAreUnited #HistoryintheMaking Street Party and #SinulogRevelries Party at Alchology, featuring local and international DJ’s Cris Nelson, Pat Rizarri & Tatiana, Riegel Orocay, Jamiel, Rock Asley who hails all the way from the Netherlands, John Bosque, Santi Santos, Minah & Sha Supangan, Raul Sergida, and Polky and & Elaine, who spun the sickest tunes from noon ’til night and provided a different kind of sensory feast. (Photos by Alchology)

 

 

Another event that’s on every party goer’s list is the annual Sinulog Party at Baseline Complex, Cebu City. This year’s Sinulog 2014 parties greeted over thousands in attendance – people were practically spilling onto the streets and into the main road! Party goers decked out in their customized Sinulog shirts lined every street corner, with neon paint all over their faces and good vibes to give out! It definitely was a one-of-a-kind party experience that you should cross out your bucket list when in Cebu!
