After battling COVID-19, Senator Sonny Angara shares an Instagram post thanking health workers and frontliners who are working amid this pandemic.
The senator was sent home after several days in the ER and the COVID wing. He previously tested positive for the virus, and he just announced that he is now negative and pneumonia-free. Sonny Angara was reported to be the third senator to have contracted the disease.

“Big big thanks to my doctors and nurses for taking care of me and to my family, loved ones, friends for all the prayers, letters and food that you sent,” the senator says on Instagram. He adds, “I met nurses and doctors who don’t go home anymore, some even doing double duty in other hospitals. They truly truly are REAL HEROES.”
As of writing, there have been 3,660 reported cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines with 163 deaths and 73 recoveries.
