After taking a surprise hiatus from her world tour last year and checking herself into rehab, we’re happy to see Selena doing so much better and looking a lot healthier.
We suspect this has a lot to do as well with new beau The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye!
The 24-year-old actress/singer was most prominently linked to Justin Bieber, whom she dated on and off for several years. After a rocky relationship and personal issues she’s had to battle in the past, we wouldn’t be surprised if she wanted to stay quite about her love affairs.
But after hanging out with The Weeknd while on tour and meeting each other’s parents, it looks like her new relationship is the real deal.
While On Air With Ryan Seacrest Friday, she shared that she didn’t really want to keep her relationship with The Weeknd under wraps:
“Because I’ve been doing this for so long, I don’t feel like there’s anything that I would want to … not necessarily hide, but I’m genuinely myself. I think it’s really hard when I would want to spend so much time hiding things. It’s too much pressure, and I think everyone gets over everything eventually. I just want to be happy. If that’s me just being myself, then I don’t really care.”
