Scientists create edible water globes that might replace water bottles

Scientists have developed edible water globes that might replace water bottles someday and can help in conserving our environment.

Skipping Rocks Lab has developed Ooho, which is an edible water bottle created out of 100% biodegradable brown algae that is an environmental-friendly alternative to plastic bottles.

Ooho and other packaging solutions are made from Notpla, a material made from seaweed and plants that disappear, naturally.

Aside from plastic-free hydration, Ooho can also be used for cocktails and sauces. It can also be used in water-proofing and grease-proofing cardboard takeaway boxes.
