SBC confirms Jarin departure, coaching hunt begins

San Beda is now in search of a new coach after confirming the news that Jarin has indeed left the Red Lions’ den.
Jose Mari Lacson, San Beda’s representative to the NCAA Management Committe, confirmed that Jarin already had his final practice with the school on Tuesday afternoon.
Lacson, however, said that there’s still no official word from the San Beda higher ups about it.

“I just learned today he (Jarin) already said his goodbyes to the players but I’m still waiting for official word from Fr. Rector (Aloysius Ma. Maranan),” said Lacson.
Lacson’s confirmation verified the reports which surfaced from online publications earlier.
With Jarin’s departure, the Red Lions will basically be suffering the safe that their rivals in Letran suffered last year after the Knights lost then-champion head coach Aldin Ayo to La Salle.
Boyet Fernandez comes as the strongest candidate to take the job for San Beda, sources say, as the former Red Lion head coach has recently been relieved from his duty with NLEX.
Fernandez ended up always a winner with the Red Lions, winning back-to-back titles in his stay with San Beda after beating Letran and Arellano.
