One of the greatest charms of SALT steakhouse (and hole-in-the-wall restaurants in general) is the perfect trinity of cheap prices, big serving and quality food.

 As you can you see, the meats are being grilled to perfection.

 

SALT steakhouse ‘s best seller is their T-bone steak. Priced at 190 Php, you’ll definitely get a bang for your buck. It comes with a potato salad side dish and a sauce of your choice. You can get either barbecue, gravy or pepper cream, a SALT steakhouse original.

Another admirable trait of SALT steakhouse is that get their ingredients from local suppliers. The steaks are from Batangas, delivered fresh and cooked perfectly.

The steak, and everything we ate delivered classic grilled meat flavors. They’re good on their own but what makes them even tastier are the side dishes. The side dishes are paired perfectly with their meat. Potato salad is to T-bone steak, salsa is to grilled Cajun chicken and atsara is to grilled tuna.

Grilled Tuna, 220 Php. 

 

SALT steakhouse ‘s grilled tuna is a big fresh slab of delectable tuna paired with atsara and vinegar. It’s the best grilled tuna I’ve ever tasted in Manila. The fact that their atsara didn’t come from a jar is a big plus too.

I just love how the Tuna’s shred’s are showing in this photo. 

My personal favorite from SALT steakhouse would have to be the Grilled Cajun chicken. It’s perfectly seasoned and if you eat it with the salsa, it’s like Christmas in your mouth.

To cap off the night of perfectly grilled meats we ended up sweetening up our palette with frozen Brazo de Mercedes and Chocolate Tartufo. I prefer the brazo over the tartufo because it’s something really new to me but the tartufo ball with is cherry-center surprise is also something to rave about.

If it’s your first time at SALT steakhouse I suggest you don’t skip dessert and order either one of these.

As Jobet further explained to me the heart and soul of SALT steakhouse and how God orchestrated the whole thing to happen I realized that this feature was also something that involved more than just food. It was a night of good conversations while enjoying the simple delight that food and company brings together.
