Saliva RT-PCR Testing Now Available at SM Megamall

As more and more laboratories open for RT-PCR COVID-19 Testing, another breakthrough is the Saliva RT-PCR testing that the Philippine Red Cross initiated. According to SM Megamall, they have partnered with Philippine Red Cross to help reach more Filipinos at this very challenging time.

The Philippine Red Cross is the one doing the testing and the venue of SM Megamall is perfect for those who are in need of the test. For now, the Saliva RT-PCR testing is for drive-through only and it requires appointment booking.

Because the specimen to be collected is saliva, it is required to not eat, drink, gargle, smoke, or vape 30minutes before the test to get a proper specimen.

The Saliva RT-PCR testing is in the Bus Bay of SM Megamall Building A and is available from 9am-5pm. It is priced at Php2000.

Steps to book: 

• Select the venue, date, and time of your saliva test
• Be at the appointment venue 15 minutes before the scheduled time to give time for verification and the security check.
Covid-19 drive-thru testing checklist:
• Fill up the e-CIF Form at c19.redcross.org.ph/public-ecif.
• Bring your confirmation of schedule containing your order details (will be sent to your email).
• Do not eat, drink, gargle, smoke or vape for 30 minutes before the test.
• Do not wear lipstick before the test.
• Bring a valid ID and a pen.
• Wear a mask and a face shield. 1ml sample is required and no discoloration.
