R.O.X. Philippines has confirmed that it is closing its BGC branch after nearly 20 years.

In a social media post, the outdoor and adventure brand will officially shut down its branch at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City on June 16.

“R.O.X. BHS has always been a space for our community to discover and find joy in the outdoor experience. It’s been a safe space for everyone, novice and professionals alike to play, have fun, and harness that love for adventure. Since then, we’ve created a community of explorers who share the same passion for heading out as much we do,” it wrote.
It added, “We are forever grateful to our loyal community for joining us on this journey. Thank you for the 20 years of adventure, R.O.X.plorers. See you outside!”
R.O.X, which means Recreational Outdoor eXchange, is a one-stop shop for outdoor gear, camping equipment, and adventure essentials.
Following the announcement, social media users shared how the store had become a part of their lives—whether through their outdoor adventures or simply by being a familiar stop while strolling around BGC.
“This is so sad! Your store has always been a part of my BGC walks for years. BGC just won’t feel the same without your store,” actress Sheena Halili wrote.
“So many memories with the family, and I had my niece experience her first rock climbing there with me too. Thank you, ROX!!!” another social media user commented.
