“I own up to the mistake of not making my relationship status public because I felt there’s no need to add up to what were going through. Please respect our decision to keep it to ourselves so that we can preserve whats left of our friendship,” he wrote.
Ricci also appealed to the public, especially fans, to stop creating false accusations and dragging other people, as some netizens accused him of cheating after he reposted a photo of him in a now-deleted Instagram story taken by beauty queen-turned-politician Leren Mae Bautista.

Meanwhile, Andrea has yet to speak up about their split.
In April 2022, Ricci publicly asked Andrea to become his girlfriend after his UAAP basketball game, when they officially became a couple.
