It’s the end for Globalport this season.
Downed at their 5th game against the Alaska Aces, 118 – 89, Globalport will be going home after reaching their first ever semifinals series.
Alaska made quick work of the Batang Pier, with Alaska dominating the 1st half, scoring 32 points in the paint, 11 second chance points and scoring 12 points from GlobalPort turnover, while shooting 48%. Globalport on the other hand, scored 16 points in the paint, made just 14 fastbreak points while shooting 43%.
At the half, it was 60-51 for Alaska.
GlobalPort tried to rally in the fourth, with Keith Jensen attacking the basket early in the quarter, but to no avail. At the 3:21 mark, it was already over with Alaska in a fresh lead, 110 – 87. Chris Excimiano was adjudged the best player of the game with 19 pts and 2 steals.
