This summer is one of the hottest yet, and we’ve come up with ways to keep cool. Whether it’s a venti Frappuccino from Starbucks or locking yourself in an airconditioned room, we’ve all found ways to beat the heat.
One netizen is reminding us that we shouldn’t forget about our pets and other animals this summer. If we can find ways to cool down, many animals can’t, and their only respite is a shaded place, which at this point is not helpful.
Chona Sandoval posted an alarming message after finding two dead birds due to what she suspects is dehydration. According to her:
My sister found these two poor birds lying in front of their main door. My maid said she also found a dead bird in our yard. Many birds now die due to lack of water. I appeal to all my fb friends to please leave some water in your balcony or in places where the birds can reach and drink them. Let us help save them. Thank you.#savethebirds
