Hopeless romantics are familiar with Lang Leav, the poet known for her love poems, which are a mix of sweet and heartbreaking. If you’re not familiar with Leav, you’ve probably seen her work shared by your friends on Facebook.
One of her fans is Maine Mendoza, one-half of the popular love team AlDub. Mendoza and Alden Richards are part of a segment on Eat Bulaga where they don’t meet. When they finally met at the Tamang Panahon concert, the event garnered 41 million tweets.
It turns out that Leav is also a fan of the tandem, and tweeted: “I might write a piece for #ALDUBisLove if @mainedcm asked me. I think they are so cute together!”
She then followed it up with a poem, with an illustration of Mendoza. She captioned the post with: Hello to my friends in the Philippines. Maine Mendoza asked me if I could write a poem for AlDub so I did. ❤ Happy Valentine’s Day! xo Lang”
