Worry not, because Kiray Celis has a few words to say about waiting for the right man.
Two days ago, the actress formally introduced her boyfriend, Stephan Estopia, on Twitter. She accompanied their photos with the story of how they met.
Celis begins, “Nung nagkakilala kami, parehas kaming wasak. Ako pinagpalit. Siya niloko ng paulit ulit.” [“We were both broken when we met. I was replaced. He was fooled many times.”]
She added, “Nung panahon na yun, pare parehas na tingin ko sa mga lalaki. Lahat manloloko. Walang hindi. Pero nung nakilala kita, lahat yun nagbago. Hindi naman pala lahat pare pareho. Depende rin sa tao.” [“At the time, I thought all men were the same. All of them will fool you. No one won’t. But when I got to know you, my perspective changed. Not everyone is the same. It depends on the person.”]
Celis offered tips for those who are jaded when it comes to love.
She said, “Porket napunta ka sa maling tao. Hindi ibig sabihin nun, Maling tao na ulit ang mapupuntahan mo. Lahat ng iyak mo, mapapalitan ng iyak sa sobrang tawa. Lahat ng lungkot mo may kapalit na sobrang saya. Lahat ng paghihirap mo, mapapalitan ng ginhawa. Kasi nga nasa tamang tao ka na. Kaya wag ka matakot magmahal ulit. Malay mo, SIYA NA TALAGA.”
[“Even if you end up with the wrong person, it doesn’t mean you’ll meet another one who’s wrong for you. All your tears will be replaced by tears of joy. Your sadness will be replaced by happiness. All your struggles will be replaced by comfort. Because you’re with the right person. Don’t be scared to fall again. You never know, that person might be the one.”]
