Angel Locsin took to her Instagram stories to share her frustrations over corrupt government officials and the kind of justice she wants to see against them.
On her post, Angel shared a screenshot of a news headline regarding the alleged pocketing of PHP15 billion in public funds by PhilHealth officials.
At first, she talked about how she is against the Death Penalty–which has long been abolished in the Philippines–but admitted to wanting it as a suitable punishment for those in power who unapologetically steal from the less privileged.
“I’m against the death penalty. But for the people who steal from the poor & sick, especially during a pandemic, you deserve the death penalty.”
Angel, however, decided to take back her statement a little while after to propose a better form of retribution. “Changed my mind. Mahaba-habang pagkakulong sa siksikan na preso, with no chance of parole ang para sa mga walang pusong corrupt officials,” she said.
