Miguel Rosales (w/ Joey Bax) vs. Peter Versoza

Peter Versoza took over for most of the match with his innovative offense. Rosales got back in the match and welcomed Versoza to Barangay Suplex with a trifecta of German Suplexes. The fight went to the crowd and they got very close and personal. Versoza delivered an impressive Houston Hangover from the top for 2. Rosales came back with a thunderous spear and was about to finish off the match. However, John Sebastian stormed ringside and attacked Rosales and Bax with the kendo stick.

Versoza and Sebastian continued the assault post-match. Versoza tried to attack Mr. Sy, but he was pulled away by the PWR ring crew. PV and Sebastian would brawl with the Fighters 4 Hire until both teams were escorted from ringside.

The Apocalypse vs. Trian Dela Torre

The Midget Champion was looking for another victory over PWR’s most dangerous competitor, The Apocalypse. Dela Torre surprised everyone as he used his size advantage and took control of the match up early on. The Apocalypse sat up and began his rampage on Trian. He stopped his Death Bell attempt on the midget champion, only to beat him up some more. The referee had enough of the masked man’s unwarranted assault and disqualified him, giving the match to Trian Dela Torre.

After the match, the Apocalypse challenged Trian Dela Torre to an ALL OUT WAR match for next month’s show.

For the #1 Contendership: SANDATA vs. “Beautiful” Billy Suede

This was a heated and evenly fought match that got the crowd at the edge of its seat. Both men took it to each other, connecting with their signature moves. Suede surprised SANDATA after he kicked out of the “Ang Huling Bala”. Mr. Sy went ringside and argued with Suede after Suede was caught by the referee with his foot on the ropes during a pin attempt. SANDATA accidentally hit Mr. Sy and Suede used the distraction to roll SANDATA with a single leg crab for the submission victory.

Triple Threat Match for the PWR Championship: Chris Panzzer © vs. Ralph Imabayashi vs. “The Senyorito” Jake De Leon

The main event saw the PWR Champion facing two former PWR Champions in a triple threat contest. All three men tried to establish control of the matchup at the early going. At one point, Ralph Imabayashi would try to connect with a sonic crusher on JDL, but he would be a recipient of a double powerbomb. A masked man went to the ring to assault Panzer and JDL.

The masked man accidentally hit Ralph with a steel tray and was unmasked as Rederick Mahaba. JDL and Panzer took the fight outside and dove off towards Ralph, Rederick, and the PWR ring crew. Rederick Mahaba was escorted off ringside while the match continued. The end saw Chris Panzer picking up the pinfall victory after he delivered the Eagle Splash on both JDL and Ralph while the Senyorito had Ralph trapped in the dreaded Inasal Lock.

Overall, PWR Renaissance 2017 was truly one for the books. In my opinion, the Playland venue put on a unique yet amazing atmosphere for both the fans and the performers. I would like to thank the people from Philippine Wrestling Revolution (PWR) for inviting us to this event. Everyone in PWR put on a great show for this one and I can’t wait to see them return this July 23rd at the Unilab Bayanihan Center for their next show.
