PWR Live: A Night of Debuts and Rivalries (and Aircon)

POSTERmain-(med)

After the events of PWR Renaissance back in September 2015, The Royal Flush have totally established their dominance over Philippine Wrestling Revolution. John Sebastian defeated Bombay Suarez twice in a row, “Classical” Bryan Leo retained the PWR championship against Jake De Leon and The Apocalypse, and Main Maxx made his jaw-dropping return from injury. Despite all of these, PWR continues to move forward and now, we are in the midst of PWR Live where we will see new PWR wrestlers debuting, rivalries coming to blows, and the vocal PWR fans will finally get some much needed airconditioning at PWR Live’s new venue, the iAcademy Auditorium.

On November 28, 2015 at the iAcademy Auditorium located in the iAcademy Plaza, H.V. Dela Costa, Makati City, PWR Live returns and it’s coming back bigger, better, and a whole lot cooler (literally). We could keep going on and on about how amazing this event will be but we’ll let what’s lined up do the talking for us:

Debuts, Debuts, and Debuts

“Here comes a new challenger.” “Open-minded ka ba?” “Everybody likes it mahaba.”

These are a number of hints and messages we’ve been seeing on social media recently and there is one common thread between all of them: they’re all about a debuting PWR wrestler. A number of new bootcamp graduates have proven themselves worthy to finally get a shot in the PWR ring. Some of these you’ve already seen in dark matches and some you’ve never met before. All that matters is, are you ready for the new crop of talent?

SANDATA vs. Peter Versoza

The team the PWR fans have come to know and love as “Dual Shock” is officially no more.  After their loss to the Fighters 4 Hire at PWR Renaissance, Peter Versoza could no longer bottle up the hard feelings he had for his masked counterpart which led him to attack and finally lay out his former partner, SANDATA, with a “Petegree” amidst the chants of “LQ” and “Walang Forever” from the PWR crowd. Versoza solely blames SANDATA for their losing streak (and for a misplaced knee to the face) while SANDATA has gone on social media saying that Peter’s partyboy antics are what’s to blame for their consecutive losses. No matter whose fault it is, at PWR Live, we will finally see a clear winner and a clear loser between Peter Versoza and SANDATA.

The Royal Flush Reveals Their Ace at the Mahabang Usapan Talk Show

The question that’s been on the back of everyone’s mind will finally be revealed at PWR Live. The Royal Flush will finally reveal their Ace at PWR’s newest talk show, “Mahabang Usapan” with the debuting  Rederick Mahaba. A lot of names and possibilities come to mind: “Is it a bootcamp graduate that’s going to debut? Is he already an active member on the roster? Could it be an international figure in pro wrestling?” The only thing we know for sure is that we will find out who the Ace of the Royal Flush is on PWR Live.

PHX Championship Match: “The Social Media Sinister” Ken Warren (c) vs. Chris Panzer

In his first ever title defense, “The Face of Facebook,” “Twitter’s Formerly Favorite and now Most Liked,” and the “OG of IG,” Ken Warren will be facing off against a very familiar opponent in the leader of the Panzer Army, Chris Panzer. The Social Media Sinister became the inaugural PHX Champion back at PWR Renaissance when he was able to capitalize on a distracted Ralph Imabayashi (which we’ll get to in a moment) and roll him up for the 3 count. Earlier that night, however, Ken Warren was also the mastermind behind a vicious attack by the Fighters 4 Hire on both Chris Panzer and Mayhem Brannigan which actually led to Mayhem being out of action indefinitely. At PWR Live, another chapter will be written in this storied rivalry. Can Chris Panzer not only become the PHX champion but also get revenge for his fallen brother or will the #CandidAttentionBandit prove to be too much for the pioneer of Panzermonium?

John Sebastian vs. Ralph Imabayashi III: #1 Contendership Match for the PWR Championship

In what has become PWR’s hottest rivalry, we will not only see who goes up 2-1 between Sebastian and Imabayashi, but we will also find out who the next #1 contender for the PWR championship is. This rivalry traces its roots all the way to PWR Bootcamp. Both these competitors were among the first to prove their worth in bootcamp and actually debuted against each other in the PWR ring. Imabayashi would get the first victory while Sebastian would pick up his win after going under the tutelage of the Royal Flush. After gaining a victory over each other, their paths seem to drift away from one another but it would not last long.  At PWR Renaissance, Imabayashi was in the midst of becoming the first ever PHX champion against Ken Warren, but as fate would have it, John Sebastian stuck his nose into Imabayashi’s business and his distraction cost Imabayashi the PHX title. At PWR Live, we may not see the last of this hard-hitting rivalry but we will find out who will be the #1 contender for the PWR championship. Will the Filipino-Japanese sensation get another shot at gold and redemption or will the Royal Flush’s “Jack of all Trades” get his chance to feel what it’s like to be king?

PWR Live is happening at the iAcademy Auditorium located in the iAcademy Plaza, H.V. Dela Costa, Makati City on November 28, 2015. Besides all the compelling matches you see here, your favorite PWR superstars like Bombay Suarez, Mark D. Manalo, The Apocalypse, and Jake De Leon will also be in attendance.
