PSL: Petron Moves To Best-Of-Three Finals To Defend Championship Title

The Petron Blaze Spikers are ready to defend their title as PSL Grand Prix champions.

After beating the Cignal HD Spikers in three of four sets, 25-20, 26-24, 20-25, 25-13, last Thursday, reigning champions Petron has earned a slot in the best-of-three finals of the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix 2015.

Petron’s Brazilian import Rupia Inck took the spotlight with 20 points, while former “Queen Tamaraw” Rachel Anne Daquis made 14 marks.

Inck got 18 spikes out of her 51 attempts, while Daquis was more precise with her spikes with 13 won out of 31 attempts. In terms of blocking, former NU Lady Bulldogs Carmina Aganon got it covered, blocking three out of five block attempts

Cignal also made good record with their two Imports: Amanda Anderson capped 20 points while Ariel Usher added 18.

Anderson got 16 spikes out of her 40 attempts, while Usher got 17 of 55 attempts.

Petron is set to face the Foton Tornados on Thursday, November 26, for the best-of-three finals.
