President Benigno Aquino expressed optimism that the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 would soon lose its ranking as one of the worst airports in the world, praising the renovations done on the airport, according to Yahoo! News.
According to the report, the President inspected the airport terminal, commenting on how the airport looked completely different from its old, dilapidated look that it is known for.
“It’s like I have entered a completely different airport”, PNoy reportedly said.
Just less than a month ago, the Official Gazette of the Philippines released before-and-after photos of the airport after its facelift, saying that the year-long rehabilitation project was 80 percent complete.
The photos showed new lavatories, improved lobbies, carousels, and even a Starbucks at the concessionaire area.
