Plant a Tree for Groot: Vin Diesel Raises Environmental Awareness
In the middle of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenges here and there, Vin Diesel did one. Afterwards, he used the challenge to raise environmental awareness with a “Plant a Tree for Groot” campaign. This is according to the report of comicbook.com.
With shovel on hand, he dug a hole to plant a tree. He then challenged James Gunn, Director of Guardians of the Galaxy, to plant a tree for Groot. Gunn responded in writing, “Challenge accepted Vin Diesel – I will plant a tree for Groot!”

According to the comicbook.com, several followers of Vin Diesel on Facebook already jumped the bandwagon and posted pictures of them planting trees as well. The “Plant a Tree for Groot” seems to be getting traction even on Twitter.
As the movement goes along, it is hoped that many will also follow suit.
