Pico de Loro Cove : Redefining Your Coastal Escape

Pico de Loro Cove is a beach with powdery cream-colored sand and clear waters surrounded by the luscious green trees of Mt. Pico. The depth of the water remains shallow even  if you swim far away from the shore. What I love best is that the water feels icy cool beneath your feet  in certain parts of the water and you can just stay there and (ironically) feel the cold under the sun. 

 

Ditch wearing your slippers and feel the fine sand between your toes.

 

Your sunnies, a good book and this lounge, perfect!

Pico de Loro Cove also provides its guests with fun activities to do in the water. We were fortunate enough to try three of them: snorkeling, kayaking and experiencing the jet ski.

 You can also try snorkeling either at the shores of Pico de Loro Beach Club or take a boat to other parts of Hamilo Coast. 

 

 

 Tour the coast with your friends and family and see the wonders of nature in Pico de Loro Cove. 

 

 

After doing all those water activities you may rest and look at the view of Hamilo Coast right in front of you. 

 

 

Or walk around the area and feel the sun on your skin. 

 

 

You know what’s even more perfect than a great view of the beach? I’ll tell you. It’s munching on good food while laying your eyes the perfect combined sight of sand, sea and the mountains. 

 Merienda and snacks are available in Reef Bar. Their sandwiches are a must-try. 

 

 

You may request the staff of Reef Bar to bring your food to the lounges near the shore or just go to their area for a more comfortable accommodation. 

 

 

 Pico de Loro Cove is known for their fruit drinks and mojitos. 

 

 

Lastly, just like in every beach trip, the most significant moment is watching the sun sink beneath the ocean right before your eyes. 

 

That’s something we do not see often in Manila. 

 

 

All together, my trip with friends in Pico de Loro Cove  was a dream escape made into reality.  When in Manila, my days were full of hectic schedules and worried vibes; but in Pico de Loro Cove it was the exact opposite. Sure there are hotels and “staycations” everywhere in Manila but nothing beats an adventurous road trip to the provinces, meeting locals and guests, and the taste of the breeze of nature right at the tip of your tongue.  

When in Pico de Loro Cove, the best coastal escape of your life awaits you.
