If you were planning to send a package or letter abroad, it might be a good idea to hold off for now. The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) announced that it is temporarily suspending outbound mail services to 35 countries due to ongoing regional airspace restrictions.

The suspension affects all types of mail—letters, parcels, and Express Mail Service (EMS). Countries affected span Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and even parts of South America. Among them are France, Germany, Great Britain, the UAE, Qatar, India, Brazil, and several others.
PHLPost explained that the move is precautionary. Recent military activity in the Middle East has led to airspace closures at major hubs, including Dubai and Doha, which are key points for international mail transport. The agency says it is coordinating with international postal services and customs authorities to make sure mail is handled securely and to gradually resume deliveries as soon as possible.
Recent escalations stem from strikes targeting Iranian sites by Israel and the U.S., with retaliatory actions affecting Gulf states such as Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE. Local airlines have also canceled flights to these areas, affecting regular travel schedules.
PHLPost has not provided a specific timeline for when mail services to the affected countries will resume, advising the public to stay updated on official announcements.
