“In motion and in pause, Pantone Color of the Year 2026, PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer drifts between light and ethereal, a living calm that invites renewal, vision in serenity and creative release,” it added.
According to the institute’s official website, Cloud Dancer is a versatile color that can adapt or create contrast with a different color. It can also be a standalone color, but at the same time, it allows all colors to shine.
Cloud Dancer adds a light and visually pleasing touch to pastel and neutral tones such as Lemon Icing, Peach Dust, or Raindrops on Roses. Using Cloud Dancer in a pastel-themed bedroom introduces a light and calming lift that enhances the room’s softness.
Likewise, Cloud Dancer can also seamlessly blend into veiled palettes of softened hues, producing a subtle but striking contrast. For instance, pairing Cloud Dancer with a gray hue brings dimension and depth, giving the palette a modern and polished look.
Every December, Pantone names its Color of the Year for the coming year. For 2025, the chosen shade was Mocha Mousse.
