Pandora’s 2014 Autumn/Winter Collection: A Mystical Tale
Pandora, world-renowned jewelry store popular for its handcrafted pieces, brings to us a whimsical fairytale that mirrors the beauty of all things magical and nature-inspired through the launch of their 2014 Autumn/Winter Collection.
The Mega Fashion Hall was transformed into an enchanted forest with a beautiful setup of glittering lights and dewy white trees. Pandora brought to life the mystery and magic of the forest through an interpretative ballet and scenography directed by renowned director and playwright Floy Quintos, as narrated by Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo.
The Philippine Ballet Theater dancers were like flying fairies in an enchanted forest, while Pandora (the lead character) looked like a ballerina in a pretty jewelry box.
Unlike Pandora’s story in Greek mythology (Pandora’s Box), last night’s ballet presentation “Mystical Tale with Pandora“ narrated Pandora’s journey in search of precious discoveries and valuable moments.
As she met new friends in the forest, she was given a new charm bracelet from the Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection. I could almost feel the wonder in Pandora’s face. It looked like the same feeling that shadows me whenever I embrace a precious moment.
As Host Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo put it, “You have gone through the forest and the night unafraid. Imagine if you could go through life, gathering the precious charms that are symbols of life’s mysterious and wondrous unfolding..”
The scenography was such a treat! I have been longing to see a ballet show and this captivating performance was one memorable experience I am keeping with me. The story mirrors our own journey in this life. Pandora truly understands how we capture and treasure each precious moment by collecting them and bringing them with us – be it through our own memories or through Pandora‘s dewy drops and enchanted charms.
Pandora’s Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection consists of thoughtfully designed pieces that capture modern tale femininity. The collection consists of textured rings, earrings, charms and pendants that give a hint of romantic autumn nostalgia with designs such as leaves and mystical florals, and play on the Holiday Season with fancy canes and starry sky details.
The pieces are crafted from sterling silver, 14k gold, colored enamel and sparkling cubic zirconia. The techniques used by Pandora are comparable to that of high-end jewelry stores. The difference is the affordability and accessibility. The Shimmering Leaves Collection is a trendy series, but can be passed down through generations. The micro-set sterling silver and yellow gold trims make this collection a stunning series.
Dark Florals are made of sculptural elements and textural combinations of the natural world.
The Night Blue Crystal Set is inspired by the serene sky by night and consists of a cool blue jewel pendant, a cocktail ring and delicate earrings.
True to Pandora‘s signature take on wearing jewelry, the Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection can be stacked, combined and styled with other pieces for a more personal look.
The night was even made more glamorous and glistening with the presence of local stars and celebrities spotted at the event, including Albert Martinez and daughter Alynna Martinez, celebrity couples Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero, Andrew Wolff, and Yanka Cederstam, Lara Quigaman and Marco Alcaraz, Rhian Ramos, Phoemela Barranda, Antoniette Taus, Tom Taus, and beauty queen Gwendoline Ruais.
It was truly a precious moment to treasure. Thank you for bringing me this mystical tale of discovery and wonderment, Pandora!
