A netizen shared his opinion towards Manny Pacquiao’s comment describing the LGBTQ community as “mas masahol pa sa hayop.” [In English, “worse than animals”.]
Jonas (netizen) said that it is not about faith nor expressing your religious beliefs as he is running for one of the highest public offices in the nation. As such, he must own up to the error of his reasoning.
Furthermore, he added that Manny was actively contributing to a violent society because he was “enabling abuse and violence against LGBTs by dehumanizing them”
Manny is running for senator in the 2016 elections under the UNA partylist headed by Jejomar Binay.
Do you agree that if you dehumanise LGBTs, you are actively enabling abuse and violence against them? We’d love to hear from you!

I could not agree more. This is not just about his religious beliefs. This is how he helps perpetuate a culture of homophobia in this country which forces gay people to live in the closet, make gay kids victims of endless bullying in schools, make gay employees the object of ridicule in the workplace and make gay people victims of hate crimes.
And Jonas Bagas is not just any netizen. He is an LGBT rights activist who has been advocating equality in the Philippines for many years.
