Ozzy Osbourne Passes Away at 76

Black Sabbath’s frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, has passed away. He was 76.

The English singer-songwriter died on July 22. According to a family statement, he was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” the family statement read.

In January 2020, the TV star publicly revealed that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Widely regarded as the founding father of British heavy metal and known as the “Prince of Darkness,” Ozzy Osbourne first rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the iconic band Black Sabbath. He also had a successful solo career, releasing 13 studio albums that further cemented his status as a rock legend.
