“Heto na naman tayo” Ninong Ry’s Home Submerged in Flood

Popular food content creator Ryan Morales Reyes, better known as Ninong Ry, revealed that his home in Malabon was submerged in floodwaters following continuous Habagat rains.

On July 22, Ninong Ry posted photos showing his home impacted by the flooding.

“Heto na naman tayo. Stay safe mga inaanak. Makakaahon din tayo. Laban lang (Here we go again. Stay safe, everyone. We’ll be able to rise up. Let’s keep fighting),” he captioned his post.

Prior to posting photos of his flooded residence, the celebrity chef advised his followers and fans to stay prepared as floods and heavy rains continued to affect many areas.

“Mga inaanak, stay safe tayo sobrang taas ng baha at lakas ng ulan. Charge na kayo ng mga dapat i charge kasi usually nag bbrown out nag ganto. Iwasan nyo na din munang umalis ng bahay kung d naman masyadong kailangan (Everyone, stay safe as the floodwaters are very high and the rain is really strong. Make sure to charge everything that needs to be charged because brownouts usually happen during times like this. Also, avoid leaving the house if it’s not absolutely necessary),” he wrote.

“Ako, bilang tiga malabon, meron nang sense of acceptance mga bagay na masisira at mawawala tuwing gantong panahon (As someone from Malabon, I’ve come to accept that some things will inevitably get damaged or lost during this kind of weather),” he added.

He also imparted a very strong message to his viewers: “Tandaan natin na ang mga materyal na bagay ay maaari namang mapalitan pero ang buhay ay hindi na. Ingat tayo lahat! Gabayan tayo ng Panginoon (Let’s remember that material things can be replaced, but life cannot. Let’s all take care! May the Lord guide us).”
