Ogie Diaz asks Pastor Quiboloy to ‘Stop’ Typhoon Tisoy

The last time a natural disaster rocked the Philippines, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy took credit for “stopping” it. Speaking of the 6.6-magnitude earthquake that hit Mindanao last October 29, the (self) Appointed Son of God said: “Noong lumindol ng 6.6 […] sabi ko ‘lindol stop, umi-stop’.” [When the 6.6-magnitude quake hit, I told it ‘stop’, and it did.]

Such a statement garnered highly-mixed responses. Some were in support, like President Rodrigo Duterte who stated his belief in the pastor. Others were in opposition to the claim, like Vice Ganda who dared the pastor to stop the traffic on EDSA.

Ogie Diaz is only the latest in a string of people to make reference to the claim. The host and talent manager took to Facebook and asked the pastor to “stop” monster-typhoon, Tisoy.

“Pastor Quiboloy, sabihan mo na po ang #BagyongTisoy ng ‘Stop!’ O sa lindol lang po talaga kayo exclusive?” Diaz posted. [Pastor Quiboloy, please tell #BagyongTisoy to ‘stop!’ already. Or does that only work with earthquakes?]
