Ninong Ry recalled how flooding has impacted his life as calls against corruption erupted amid anomalous flood control projects.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Ry shared that he had to adapt and accept that flooding has become a part of his life.
“Nakikita nyo sa mga post namin tungkol sa baha na parang tinatawanan lang namin. Na para bang sanay na sanay na kame. Na para bang ok lang. Ang totoo, hinde. Naiiyak ako sa napakaraming pagkakataon na kinailangan ko ulit na magsimula. Bili ng bagong gamit. Pagawa ng motor. Mga family album na inanod. Malaki ang perang nawawala tuwing baha pero pu***, hindi lahat nabibili ng pera,” he wrote.
He also recalled an experience when his wife had just given birth and, at the same time, they had to deal with flooding at their residence.
“Nung kakapanganak lang ng misis ko, binaha kame ng matinde. Ako bilang sanay na, pinapakalma ko siya pero ang totoo. Nababaliw na din ako. Alam kong hindi na dapat namin dinaranas to. Sabi nya sakin di siya pwedeng lumusong kasi sariwa pa hiwa ng CS nya. Patawa kong sinabi na bubuhatin ko na lang siya at yung mga bata e isasakay ko sa batya. After nun bumalik ako sa pahbabantay sa baha na kala mo bang may magagawa ako habang pinapanood kong inaanod ang mga kaunting naipundar ko kasabay ng mga pictures, awards, at kung ano ano pang bagay na di na maibabalik pa,” he shared.
“Isa, dalawang beses, baka ok lang e. Minsan delubyo talaga. Pero yung ganto? Yung paulit ulit na? Di natin deserve to,” he added.
In July 2025, the food content creator previously shared that his home in Malabon was submerged in floodwaters following continuous Habagat rains in July. However, that wasn’t the first time he publicly opened up about his home being affected by continuous flooding.
“Noon pa ako vocal sa issue ng baha. Bakit? Masakit e. Pinepresenta ko lang sa manner na nakakatawa para mas makita ng tao. Para mas kumalat. At hopefully, isa sa mga taong may kapangyarihan at may kontrol ang makakita at magsabing, sige, ayusin natin yan. Kaso wala eh,” he stated.
Towards the end of his post, the popular internet personality cried foul over the repeated hardships faced by the Filipino people, affirming that no one deserves to have their homes flooded again and again.
“Hindi deserve ng Pilipino to. Hindi natin deserve na paulit ulit anurin. Hindi. Pinagdadasal ko na sana kung sino man ang mga taong nasa likod nito e magbayad. Kaso pu*** nagawa na yung mga projects e. Pag inayos kailangan ulit ng budget. San kukunin ang budget?? Satin pa din,” he emphasized.
The flood control scandal continues to spark outrage across the country, exposing the widespread misuse of public funds, the lavish lifestyles of public officials’ children, and the alleged involvement of multiple House members, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials, and other government figures accused of demanding cash payments from contractors Pacifico “Curlee” Discaya II and Cezarah “Sarah” Discaya.
