Kakai Bautista recently posted a short cover of When I Look At You by Miley Cyrus on her social media.
A netizen was quick to reply with a comment that reportedly wrote, “…ang galing pero nung tumingin sya sa camera natakot ako bigla…”
Besides the said post, Bautista is consistent in sharing entertaining videos and selfies with self-love captions spreading positivity to her followers on different social media platforms. In one of her posts, she wrote:
You might not like this photo but I LIKE IT. You may never like me, BUT I LIKE ME. I LOVE ME.
Natutunan ko na sa buhay, kahit sino at nasan man tayong industriya, there will be people who will never like us. They hate us… or maybe they don’t, they just don’t like us and IT’S OKAY. They have their reasons. It’s okay because we are not obliged to like them too. True?
Hindi na importante sa akin ‘yan ngayon saken. Kase I’ve learned to appreciate those who appreciate me more. ‘Yun ang importante. Ang mga taong naniniwala sa’yo at minamahal ka, ‘yun din ang bigyan mo ng importansya. Do what you love most. Do it with passion, with LOVE, and the universe will reward you.
The Filipina comedian did not leave the comment unnoticed and retweeted it with a clapback – “Wow, nahiya naman ako sa pagmumukha mo. ‘Di mo nga magamit sarili mong picture…”
The tweet is now unavailable.
Bautista is also a recent survivor of COVID-19. Read about it here.
